I am planning to go back to korea for removal of silicon and tip implant. My nose looks very weird and unnatural. The clinic I went to said they would remove it free of charge. I am wondering now if I should have a revision or just remove and go back to my old nose. Will my nose sag if I remove the implant and because the skin is stretched?
Dear May Lee Suriato.
What type of implant is in your tip? We are concerned if silicone is used you may have excessive damage in the tip as the surrounding tissue structures are more fragile than the bridge.
Often the nose, after implant is removed will go back to normal with some very minor height remaining due to the scar tissue. However, you will not have the definition you had with the implant in.
Circumstances where removal is not sufficient is when an implant that was oversized is used which caused tissue damage. Such cases would require grafts to be used to restructure the damaged internal components of the nose.
